Steamboat Graveyard, Dawson

As I get ready to head back up North next week I've been looking at images from my first trip to Dawson this past June.  As a side excursion from my main project, I visited the steamboat graveyard down river from Dawson with a few friends. There are seven ships slowly decomposing back into the earth at this site.

Scouts Hall

Scouts Hall, Banff. 2012
This building serves as the meeting place for the Scouts groups in Banff. Built sometime in the 1950s, the frame of the building is actually a barn. The land was donated by the Catholic Church.

Fireworks Over Venice

I don't know why but I kind of like this lo-fi, point-n-shoot picture of fireworks in Venice. It's basically a crappy 35mm photo but I think I like the randomness after all the 4"x5" and medium format shots I've taken. It's kind of the same as using a pinhole camera in some ways.

Victoria Fall 2010

A couple more from last fall. I finally developed this roll of film after being stuck in the Bubble for the last six months.

Banff Ramblings

The Road

Recently I drove back to Manitoba to visit family and go to the cottage. Here's a couple from the road.
