This building serves as the meeting place for the Scouts groups in Banff. Built sometime in the 1950s, the frame of the building is actually a barn. The land was donated by the Catholic Church.

Message Factory Workshop as part of Banff Culture Days

If you happen to be in Banff tomorrow, I'm doing a workshop from 11am- 3pm in the Bison courtyard called "The Message Factory" as part of Banff Culture Days I'll be showing people how to make cyanotypes , which can then be sent as postcards. There will also be three typewriters so you can type your own message on the front or back of the card. More information here:

Stretching the Brain

Did some pics yesterday at Norquay with my buddy Griff and his friends Paddy and Miguel. I've never tried doing ski/snowboard photos like this before and man, it was tricky. Also have a new appreciation for people who do these crazy ski tricks!! Here's a couple that I think turned out okay...definitely do not feel pro in this type of photography.

Feels a bit like showing dirty laundry, but I'm posting a progress shot of my current project titled My Banff. The work will be part of a solo show I'm having at the Art Gallery of Alberta in May and I'm currently in the thick of making a diorama of Banff at N scale train gauge. The houses are constructed from photographs I'm taking around town.
