Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography loses its home

Had to write a posting about how disappointed I am with the Canadian Government and the National Gallery of Canada for deciding to turf the independent incarnation of the CMCP by taking away it's building and converting it into meeting rooms for Members of Parliament. It's hard to swallow talk about how the arts are being supported by the government when they have turned around and converted a museum space that was supposedly under 'renovations' into committee rooms. There are so little venues and opportunities for artists and photographers to show work. If this doesn't sit right with you please write to the Director of the National Gallery and your Member of Parliament. I'm going to!
